Introduction

I don't think the work of any band has struck a chord so deeply with me as that of Algebra Suicide.
When I first discovered them, I wished I could find their lyrics online, so I've started this blog as a resource for present and future AS fans. Years have passed since I came across this band, and now the lyrics to a select few songs (Little Dead Bodies in particular) are easy to find, but the remainder are either scattered across the web or absent altogether. I'd like to change that by compiling all the lyrics here.

To the best of my knowledge, this is now the first and only site with nearly all of Algebra Suicide's lyrics! They are grouped by album and can be accessed using the right sidebar or the links below.

  6. Hello - thank you for this amazing site and all your hard work ! I came across A/S a couple of years back, having had absolutely no idea they existed until then. They are now one of my favourite US bands from the 80's. Such a superb vocalist is Lydia - engaging, cryptic, mysterious, oblique, vampish, menacing, snide, icy cool, impeccably poised. Love the groovy melancholia of the melody lines and unobtrusive backing tracks too...wow, what a package. RIP Lydia Tompkin xx Graham, Dublin, Ireland.

  7. I feel so luck to have corresponded with them in the early 90s after having heard their music in the late 80s. My interviews with them, the record search/collection of such a "holy grail" and the letters I still own. Their influence on my own work ... Man, I miss them. Carry on, Don. RIP Lydia. I miss you both

  8. Thanks for this! I am revisiting my Algebra Suicide- and usually the lyrics are pretty clear, but sometimes I still have a "huh?' moment and want to check. Very helpful. Algebra Sucide Forever!
